Episode 5: How to Start a New Employee Network

In ballroom dancing, getting off on the right foot can make the difference between a graceful start versus an awkward crash. The same is true for getting a new employee network off the ground.

The good news for ERG/BRG leaders is that even if you get off the proverbial “wrong foot,” you can still correct your course. Nevertheless, you can avoid a lot of starts and stops if you can get started on the “right foot.”

That’s the topic of this 5th episode of ERG PowerTalk where we will explore the elements to keep in mind when starting a new employee network, as well as what you can do to get back on track even if you’re in a network that had less than stellar start. Join me and my guests Shary Tran Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Froedtert Health, Nisha Pasupuleti Senior Manager at the Carolina Healthcare System and Orly Lynn the former US Head of Diversity and Inclusion at HSBC. For copies of the Froedtert Health application and charter documents that Shary talks about during the interview, please email me at joe@joesantana.com.
